My first post- ever!

Firstly, it is necessary to point out that a full, academic writing would take far more time than I have at present. I cannot discuss all the issues raised in full depth but this can actually be a good thing as it allows the reader to find space to think for themselves and find their own conclusions. Comments are welcome and I hope you find this useful.

I think a lot of people have noticed that in recent years popular culture suddenly seems to contain a lot of occultist/satanic imagery. This trend is particularly noticeable in music videos and many productions often leave the viewer with an uneasy feeling that cannot be quickly pin-pointed. The best way to decipher such imagery is to view it as it is: satanic. Therefore the best way to find an explanation is to take a general Christian or Biblical interpretation as it is the natural antidote to Satanism etc. The purpose of this site is not to preach, but to offer an intellectual tool that the reader can use to understand what they are seeing and hearing.

My first post is going to deal with Naughty Boy’s ‘La La La’. When I first saw this video I found it disturbing and confusing, and after a bit of thought I have managed to propose a general interpretation that makes sense of the weird goings on…

So, what is this video about? I think the most important thing to note is that the final message one gets from this song is simply the ‘la la la’ bit. That’s the line that gets stuck in the viewer’s head, even though the rest of the song doesn’t make sense at first. For me, this whole song and video is talking about one thing: the coming of the anti-Christ.

The main character of the video is the cute little boy who runs away from home, he then ends up joining forces with some mysterious strangers and ends up being taken to some underground temple to Satan.

The deceptively cute boy, on closer inspection, is actually not the innocent child we take him to be. He is the son of the Devil! I know… this is a strange thing to assert, but I’ll explain how I came to this conclusion.

Scene 1- The Room.

The video starts with the camera entering a room numbered 1111. Symbolically, the number 1111 is used to represent a spiritual doorway, an opportunity for change and communication with spirits:

Whenever you see the sequence 111 or 1111 show up, it is a great sign of a golden opportunity. Both sequences mean that a "doorway" has opened up in which your intentions and goals will manifest extremely quickly.

http://www.angelscribe.com/1111.html

This room can therefore be taken to represent the spiritual realm, the realm of the Devil. Inside we see an almost gangster style man shrouded in  darkness and shadow. Note how he is clearly shown as being an evil kind of guy, angry and maybe slightly alcoholic. He then goes to see the little boy- who lives in this spiritual world- and shouts at him, gesticulating to his gold watch, apparently telling him it’s time for him to leave. The boy looks down to the physical world and sees a shaman-type man holding a dog.

As the boy is being shouted at he responds with the theme of the video: singing ‘La La La’ whilst putting his fingers in his ears. This hypnotic theme is a satanic spell, a way of entrancing people to the ways of the devil (note how it has no effects on the first man, but has effects on all others the boy tries it on). He then dutifully runs down to the street, through the door of room 1111 and collects his dog from the shaman guy that disappears. Note how this scene takes place at night, symbolising evil intent. This passage of the boy from the spiritual to the physical realm symbolically shows the release of the Devil’s son into the world to do his will- the anti-Christ is born!

Note that the first thing the boy does is to collect his dog as some kind of ‘familiar’ (traditionally thought of as the must-have demonic accessory). In the Bible, dogs almost always represent evil, perdition, low-lifes and generally depict situations and characteristics that are un-Godly: http://www.openbible.info/topics/dogs   .

As the boy runs to fulfil his mission, note how the man representing the Devil throws eggs from a nest at the boy’s feet. Symbolically, nests with eggs inside them represent safety and hope- all completely smashed with the arrival of this anti-Christ.

Scene 2- Collecting Familiars

The boy is not a victim in this video. On closer inspection it is he who makes decisions and leads others to where he wants to go. When he gets to the street he moves directly to a gym where he beckons a creepy looking man to his side. At first the man resists the boy and gestures that he wants to watch the ladies do their aerobic dance. This man is representative of the lustful, the lost sinful folk who are interested in the wicked (albeit sexy) ways of the world. This man is not looking at nice ladies, their spiritual brokenness is apparent through their streaming makeup and anger when the man stops giving them attention.

Let’s go back to the ‘la la la’s’. Note how the boy can’t get the man’s attention at first, he’s not interested! But with the magic spell of ‘la la la’ (that infectious hypnotic theme throughout the song) the man then tunes in his radio to the ‘frequency’ of the spirit world and quickly becomes hypnotised too, ready to abandon his ladies and follow the boy.

On the street the boy uses silver coins (just look at Judas and how silver represents treachery and colluding with the Devil) to buy a bloody heart that is placed in the man’s jacket. Look how the man doesn’t seem too happy about this but accepts his burden and continues to follow the boy. This is symbolic of satanic blood sacrifices that are prevalent in the occult. In order to be with the Devil, one is required to spill blood and carry the burden of guilt (a guilt that is designed to permanently keep one from turning to God out of shame).

The next familiar that the boy collects is the creepy bloke in the mask who is dancing with the flow of traffic- a symbol of the anonymous flow of modern human life- and is also hypnotised by the boy’s ‘la la la’s’. Note how this man, this anonymous ‘sheeple’ man, is very quickly hypnotised and ready to follow the Devil’s minion.

In Satanism there are two kinds of people most likely to follow the Devil: those who sin and embrace evil and those who keep their ears and eyes shut to the way of Truth.

 Scene 3- The Temple

The boy then leads his companions (the Devil can’t operate without some kind of cooperation from man) through the wilderness to a temple.

The scenery is that of rust and decay, suggesting that the Devil lives on the outskirts of humanity (which he does). Again, another quick reference to the Bible will show you that the salt lands which the four companions cross is symbolic of an absence of God, a place of perdition:

 http://biblehub.com/jeremiah/17-6.htm

When they arrive at the temple the dog is tied up outside  as the boy  now has to leave behind his earthly and spiritual help and go it alone. He is about to mature and fulfil his task on Earth.

What is a little boy doing guiding strangers and a mysterious dog to an underground temple that is dedicated to a Baphoment statue? After dismissing his disciples it becomes clear: he needs to commune with the Devil with that same hypnotising ‘la la la’ spell. This scene where the boy is kneeling before the statue reinforces the idea that he knows what he’s doing  and the ‘la la la’s’ are hereby given as proof that they were some kind of demonic form of communication all along.

The last shot shows that the foreboding underground temple is under a pyramid, a slap in the face allusion to the occult/paganism/illuminati whatever.

Conclusion

The main point of this video is to confuse the viewer. At first it seems that we need to support the cute little boy and feel for his weird situation. However, it is clear that it is actually the boy that is running the show. He is guiding the creepy adults to the satanic shrine in the middle of nowhere, it is he who uses that hypnotic spell and gathers others to his presence.

Essentially, this video is just like ‘The Omen’ where the son of the Devil uses his innocent child’s exterior to gain the trust of adults and help him in his quest to unleash the plan of Satan- so beware!

A Quick Note on the Lyrics

The lyrics reinforce this notion of being taken in by the Devil against one’s will and being entranced by this irresistible ‘la la la’ malarkey.

Hush, don't speak
When you spit your venom, keep it shut I hate it
When you hiss and preach
About your new messiah 'cause your theories catch fire

At first the singer tries to resist the lies of the Devil and his ‘new messiah’. He recognises that his words are venom and wants them to stop.

I can't find those silver linings
I don't mean to judge
But when you read your speech, it's tiring
Enough is enough

He talks about no ‘silver linings’- no hope. Is he saying that he can see through the lies of Evil or is he losing hope in the promises of God?

I'm covering my ears like a kid
When your words mean nothing, I go la la la
I'm turning off the volume when you speak
Cause if my heart can't stop it, I find a way to block it
I go
La la, la la la...
La la, la la la...
I find a way to block it
I go
La la, la la la...
La la, la la la...

He then goes on the describe himself as a kid, an innocent being oblivious to the machinations of the spiritual world who doesn’t want to hear the words of Satan anymore. However, he admits that his ‘heart can’t stop it’ meaning that even though he is rejecting the initial lies, they are slowing creeping into his soul which is backed up with the repletion of the Devil’s hypnotic spell.

Yes our love is running out of time
I won't count the hours, rather be a coward
When our words collide
I'm gonna drown you out before I lose my mind

This part is more cryptic… assuming that he is still talking to the Devil the first line can be taken to mean that he has already somewhat accepted the Devil’s ‘love’ and that he is being pressured into acting, although he doesn’t have the strength to fully commit to a side (look at the Bible’s admonition of the ‘lukewarm’ http://www.openbible.info/topics/lukewarm_christians) and has fears about the end of days when ‘our worlds collide’.

I have to admit, that your interpretation of this video is quite interesting and well explained! Though I have to tell you (if someone didn't already do it...), that the video is based on a Bolivian legend about a deaf little boy around year 1800. It would take some time to write everything about this legend, so I suggest you look up the story. Nevertheless I am amazed by your effort you put into the interpretation and how well explained it was! It can compete with the original legend. Great work!

True I think maybe that the boy was blocking his ears because he did not want to hear what they have to say although I cannot explain what they did with heart.

If you take the time to read the legend, you'll notice that the story told in the video has many descrepancies. Also, you'll find that the Bolivian legend itself has profound, satanic influences.

This is great, I felt the exact same way when I saw the video. There was something off about it.
My first thoughts were that it was reminiscent of the Wizard of Oz. He finds the dog (Toto), then the tin man who isn't real so is given a heart, and then the scarecrow who looks pretty freaky! That was my interpretation.
I'm not sure whether the 'Baphomet' is 'Oz' or where the lion is. But that's what it reminds me of.
The Wizard of Oz is also heavily used in MK Ultra programming though...

The dog is the lion, and I agree its definitely an Illuminati video, I saw somewhere on the internet that the Wizard of OZ is hiding Illuminati facts or something like that. I agree with everyone that the video when first played was clear there is deeper meaning to it.

Tristan
03/19/2014 7:52pm

No it isn't illuminati. I'm getting tired of that. The video is on the Wizard of Oz and folk lore. The boy doesn't FORCE anyone to go anywhere. The dog was given to him, the tin man lowered the volume because the boy gestured that he couldn't here over the music. That is why the boy started to cover his ears. When the man replied by lowering the volume (note that he didn't instantly start trancing out like you guys say). When the angry PMSing women started to bitch, he insulted them by acting like he couldn't hear. I would have done it too. The scarecrow is obviously a very funny fellow to begin with, but notice when he first crosses the street to join the boy he places his hands on his hips like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. I understand the theory of room 1111, but room numbers tend to be 4 digit numbers, and that could easily be the easiest number to pick.

The only solid evidence to go off is the first verse, which I agree, the song is anti-religion. But anti-religion doesn't mean evil, the song isn't asking you to kill somebody. Assuming the song that is simply open-minded is also satanic is like saying because someone isn't an author they are illiterate. There isn't a basis of that. I happen to be Athiest, I don't bash videos that support religion, so don't bash the ones that support atheism.

One final thing you ALL overlook every time the Illuminati are "involved". What do they gain? Propaganda like this doesn't help them, and no matter how powerful an organization is they can't create amazing music. It isn't that easy. They would need to buy out the artist, and pay a shit-ton of cash to make the video exactly how it is to be subliminal. If the 1111 thing is true, and nobody knows that it means something, how does that turn people satanic?

08/25/2013 5:07am

same thing here. Ive always being an anti-illuminatist so watchin the video the first time,I wasnt deceived at all.. I feel the part where the old man bought a heart signified where souls are traded for power and wealth. I stil doubted not until i saw the boy singin la la la to the baphomet in the temple. Thank u 4 this intepretatation and pls I need more of ur details, twitter or something.. God will see his children through! Amen

Closing your ears(shutting down your mind) reprogramming & Alters creation stuff...Brainwashing..with nasty sounds (la la la) that trigger stuff..
Is another brainwashed Personalty being sacrificed again? (we'll miss you-> hugs at the end an crying of the video) àla Michael Jackson...

The Wizard of Oz related thing is interesting! I think the dog could be the Lion?

The song really sticks, my kids have it on the whole time, sticking their fingers in their ears :-) Man oh man....need to delete it!

read this and you will see that the boy is good, he has a strong feeling which situations are not good, goes there and releases the spirits like a saviour, then goes to an occult temple rather cave where in fact some devlish force is dwelling, the two man cant stand it and have to leave, but the boy is death and strong in light an can bring an end to the source of evil for all times. thats how i understood it.

i agree. i think self-interpretation is all that really matters. there are so many different interpretations it can be and not one is "correct". as long as you take it and make use of it in your own way. in no way does it actually say "worship the devil". i feel this song is very empowering when based on the legend. :)

A recently released music video on YouTube is not all that it appears to be. I will tell you why.
La La La by Naughty Boy ft Sam Smith is based on an old Bolivian Tale dating back to the early 1940's. This is what the legend states.

In Bolivia, during the 1800's, there once was a young boy who had an abusive step father. They lived in the town of Carana, in a small inn.

The boy was deaf and continually beaten by his stepfather every weekend, almost ritualistically. Eventually he ran away from home. His stepfather left him for dead, not even bothering to go after him.

Alone on the streets one night, he found a stray dog. It kept him company on many long nights alone.

Emotionally tortured, he did not know where he was going. He discovered, a month after he ran away, that he had a special talent. He could hear negative emotion in the world. That is to say, if something were going wrong in a particular place, he could find it and hopefully stop it.

There was an old man by the village fountain being tormented by children who threw rocks at him from the nearby quarry until he was completely white with dust and grit. It was a custom in the village. The other elders laughed at him along with the children, glad that it wasn't them. Not only were they happy, they chanted, danced and played instuments around him.

The young boy screamed. Even though he was only eight, legends tell that his scream sounded like an earthquake crossed with a hurricane. He was screaming out his very soul; his very essence. Every other villager fled apart from the old man. He approached the child and thanked him.

(According to a historian on Bolivian mythos, some versions of this story state that the man was beaten until he bled out. The child approached him and somehow managed to restart his very heart.)

In both versions of the story, the man accompanied the boy on his travels.

The boy and the man came across another man, knocked over by a horsecart by some rich gentry, lords and nobles from the town over. He had been run down on purpose.

The man with the disfigured face was a local celebrity. They say his face had been struck by lightning and a large growth had burst out of his forehead like an elephant's trunk. Again, the boy screamed until only the elephant-faced man was left.

But this elephant man was unusual. He claimed to be a prophet for a long gone religious sect. The sect worshipped a horrifying deity. A goat with human features. A strange otherworldly being known by many names.

He had turned his back on the cult. As a result, the evil monster cursed him.

He told them off a place, and offered to show it to them in person. The elephant man, the child, the old man and the dog all set off for his lair.

His lair was in the middle of a desert, near an abandoned town rumoured to be full of people who had simply gone mad and murdered each other in the dead of night. One day they were happy folks, well-adjusted and normal. The next they were beheading their neighbors, engaging in sex with each other in the middle of the town and eating their own children. It was said that he sat in a cave and just whispered evil into the world. Pure evil.

This being the source of every negative emotion in the world, every impure thought, every desire to murder or hurt.... This whispers were audible near the cave entrance. The old man and elephant man did not wish to venture forward. They could not understand the language that the Devil was speaking in, but it sounded archaic. A language lost to the ages. Still, it made the hairs on their necks stand up as if they were being told of horrific acts. As if secrets about the nature of man were being revealed to them in a way that I, nor the myth itself, can properly explain. Even the dog did not want to go inside. The old man started to retch, but it was all too late and vomit splattered all over the sand floor outside the cavern. A laugh came from inside.

The two men said their goodbyes to the boy and left, hugging him and holding him tightly.

The boy walked inside.

It is presumed that the boy is still inside, for loud yelling can be heard whenever you venture near enough to the cave.

However, as of April 18th, the yelling stopped.

This was when the video was released.

It alludes to every facet of the myth, including a particularly interesting snippet at 2:34.

What is interesting though, is the fact that I have searched for several days. I have checked Yahoo, Bing, Google... everything.

I find your interpretation very far fetched. But I suppose like any art, it is open to personal interpretation and what is in your heart and mind influences your view.

I personally see the boy as suffering abuse, coming from a bad place devoid of love and care. The boy runs from his problems as many people do. The dog represents unconditional love offered freely. The cement man represents his possible future, old, broken and unable to feel. The boy draws him from that world and gives him back his heart. The elephant represents memories as an elephant never forgets, symbolising that you cannot run from your passed. However, love given to him unconditionally (dog) the ability to love again (cement man) and now able to live with his memories (elephant) he walks the long journey until he is able to face his demons on his own.

That's my interpretation and I think follows the song too.

Well there is to much nonsense here to read. Why does every1 see a new hit and want to find something satanic. Well I'm anti satanist and lemi tell you 1 thing. Shahid khan is 1 of the only artists to have the balls to stand up against the illumanati. This songs music video is telling the devil to go to hell listen to the words its not telling god off its telling the devil of. @ thε end his on his knees by the devil with his finger in his ears saying lalala.its god dam saying what ever you tell me I block you off by saying lalala. How can yol be so dumb to miss that. Look with the heart that the ice cream man gave. His giving life. Do not look @ a big hit and try to make it look evil. This song is 1 of the only songs to be in the top 10 with out it been satanic. I'm a anti stanist I'll stand 4 shahid and protect him with my light any day and any other artist I'll help to leave and protect. And by the way lady gaga isn't a satanist. I'm still looking into it she's a german. And germans and christians don't hit it up. All her songs are telling chirstians on and not worshiping the devil. Look out side the box nothig is what it seems to be so don't jump to comclusions. I find a way to block it, I go
La la la-la la la la la la la-la
La la la-la la la la la la la-la"

Interparate that. His telling that to the devil. Note at the end he is on his knees telling the devil lalala and what is the reason to tell any1 lalala. This song is telling the devil gentely to f off. If you tell something gentely and not with anger get lost you worthless it hurts more as if I don't need you you are nothing and I'm everything. So don't mean there's a devil there that it is satanic. I think you should go thru the song listen to the words. And tell me what do you thing. Cause in the song saying lalala means the thing you saying lalala to means nothing and you blocking it out and that's exactly what they show @ the end of the video. At the end of the video its victory over the devil not that the boy is worshiping the devil. If you can say no to wrong you have won...

Cause if my heart can't stop it,
I find a way to block it, I go
La la la-la la la la la la la-la

I'll b honest I also knw gaga as been satanic tho some body asked me to do more research. When you look @ her normaly she's satanic I personaly feel she's evil. But when you look @ her in the way I was askd to she dnt seem 2 satanic. But its all about masks. The illuminati devil murmur is very sly in his work. I went to thε extent to hunt them wen gaga came to south africa last year. I'm a mad events host I'm trying 2 bring a end to all this satanic shit. I'm hunting the main demond his name is murmur. And cause I'm a events host I gt contacts. Αnd I wanna throw the biggest iluminati artist concert to lure him in and put a end to all of this. As I said if any1 wanna know real storys of how these things work contact me. If any artists need help contact me. I'm not scared to make it public and help people cause up till this moment these things try to kill me but they can't. So I'll help as much till the day I die. So besides me comenting to giving my input I'm comenting to let people know I'm here to help if any1 1s out of the illuminati game. Once you in you can't leave as lil wayne says. But nothing is imposabile. Sometimes you need to do alil evil to save a bigger amount of good. That's what seperates me from every other light worker. I gt the knowlage of good and evil and I can choose what I wanna do. But I keep to good unless I have 2. But if any1 wanna knw exactly how the illuminati works to post articals lemi knw. Just that I can not garantee your safety if you have to expose. This is not a game it is reality and these things are real

"The mask which the deformed man wears is one of the variants of Kusillo which is associated with a ritual dance. It also references to the devil; the horns, which are usually worn on the head, represent demons which inhabit Manca Pacha. Because the man is no longer associated with them, he has no horns on Kusillo.[8]
Caps which the boy and the "shaman" with the dog are wearing are of Andean cultural origin. They are similar to the headgear of Yatiri and Ekeko. This implies that the boy has the ability to heal and to sense other people's problems. To become a Yatiri healer, one important factor is that a young Yatiri will begin a journey to find an elder Yatiri (ch'amakani) - presumably, this is the reason why the boy meets a Yatiri at the beginning." the source for this is wikipedia

Here's my interpretation, after a while of afterthought, as I was also extremely confused when I first heard the song, but I managed to paint a good picture.

I agree that this video is about the coming of the antichrist. I reached this farfetched conclusion after having listned to 2 of the other songs by the same author, and both of them have a spiritual theme, and one of them called "Lifted" clearly shows that the composer is aware of the end of days scenario presented by the christian scene.

I do not believe that the singer is talking to the Devil, but rather to his lover who has accepted this "new messiah" and wants him to do the same, whilst he is resisting. I consider that to make more sense considering the last part of the song and the phrasing.

The very thin line that still confuses me still is the fact that if I had not considered the singers other songs that I heard, which mentioned "share your light with the world" "the Devil can't catch me now" I would have thought that the singer was trying to reject Jesus and not the anti-christ, but since he seems to promote "faith" in his other videos, i will guess like i said before, that he wants to reject the Anti-Christ, which is something good and positive, and therefore not trying to promote sanatitism but the opposite.

I am still left slightly in doubt if I should be listening to this song, as it is slightly unclear and confusing what the meaning is behind it, and which side of the spectrum between good and evil the author of the song is, and what message he is trying to portrait...

Watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ymfpBIh9F4

In the video seems like the kid try to help some people which got many problems (maybe with the devil). The kid teach how ignore what demon said and they accompany him for "fight" with Baphtomet...

It can be another intepretation of the video.

I found this meaning very true. The man in the room is actually representative of religion. Other people each represent other type of people who got stuck in other aspects of life.

The dog as I read somewhere else is a chow chow which is the guardian of most Buddhists temples. Is the new message of freedom for the boy. After seeing the dog he is encouraged to close his eyes ro the man.

In my opinion, the bpy of this story could save all types of people unless they are poised by religious theories or they are the evil itself.

The last part shows that the la la la cannot work on the evil either.

The song writer ( like most good ones) is being metaphorical.

He explains emotions that symbolize entrapment, hopelessness and a weak but effective solution to the problems mentioned, by simply occupying his mind with something small but makes a huge difference for that short period of time (covering your singing la la la like a kid)

Ian Pon Jewell directed the video (lovely piece of wok by the way)

Video directors are just like any other good artist. most of their work is driven by lyrics or simply the overall emotion or energy the song gives out. But the lyrics have nothing to do with pictures in the video right?........ Wrong. What matters is the overall emotion, thus Jewell deciding to retell the Bolivian legend with a twist of his own genius just so not to completely derail from the track (pun intended)

But I like the way you see things :) its..... I don't know.... Different!!!!

Cheers and God bless

It confuses me that the anti-christ's son would toke the man of whom was already desiring the sin of lust, so he is already committing an evil on his own. He didn't want to leave because he wanted to stay where felt he belonged. When evil is active, why would evil stop it? Your research is very abundant but it is still confusing on scene 2. Could you email me and give me details on that?

Every one please read. This is what I have noticed. Every artist who does well people looks for faults. The faults are not in all artists but its in all people. Remember not every one who does good are bad. But due to everyone thinking and talking of bad that what impowers it.let's take the so called "queen of hell" lady gaga non of youl will agree but who knows that she is a anti-satanist no one know. Why did she retire. It because she is not illuminatie and its not about money she was convaying a message that even I didn't get till it was explaind to me. Its best to look out side the box and enjoy music. Everyone DOWNLOAD audasity.this program you can mutate music. Use that program and play hopless place by rhianna in reverse and you will here her saying I love you satan. Now that is illuminatie cause no words bacwards can say that. To become iluminatie you would have to call upon a demon call marmar wen recording he will posses you and he will give you a awesome voice fame and the words in reverse. Gaga is trying to say signs names words fashions of belives can nt over power the real creater if you don't have faith and think the real creator can be over powered then your belives are just a fashion like the new black. I won't go in depth with that. But trust and reasearch. As I said before I'm not a normal person but gaga I took her to be iluminatie for granted and I was wrong. So with naughty boy it don't mean he is bad it can mean its a religon clash wich is not bad cause he is a muslim or it could mean he is a boy with a passion of music and trend with no harm

I totally agree that this song is deeply sick. It is very powerful for instance if you hear it you cant get it out of your head although it is incredibly unmusical! However I interpret it differently I see the possessed person (the rapper, the singers) as so corrupted they accuse benevolent force of being evil and so lead others to sin, Evil doers are repulsed by God, 'when you hiss and preach about your new messiah' this seriously sounds like Satanic accuser of christs message, a perversion of the word. The biblical Satan never promises or preaches about a messiah, why would he/she reveal their intentions? These people are seriously under-prepared for any Antichrist as described in text, do they not read the bible, Satan is a liar, liars do not reveal their intentions duh. and they certainly don't preach? However God and the prophets of the bible do talk of the return of Christ? make your choice, but I think the whole song is made by people 'consumed in sin' who wear religion but who are actually powerful through Satan ie successful (this is not to say that all successful songs are satanic (they are often is full of the holy spirit), but pop music increasingly celebrates whoredom, materialism, group mentality and cruelty, even friendship is cemented by abusing women, gay people or other equally rubbish attitudes). Otherwise the song would be concious and uplifting?Gospel music tells us to beware of Satan as an entity, but to overcome! why? because it celebrates God and Jesus not the power of a future Antichrist? whatever religion you follow I would be very wary of pop rappers opinions on religion, its likely to be ill informed, myopic and profane as this song proves to be. Sorry I cant see the good in this song, The very fact its so popular and incessant but also so tuneless means it falls into that old category 'devils music' Plugging your ears because you are a wicked person (who eulogizes their material wealth (my rollie) in a world full of the suffering of poverty!) will not protect you from future judgement if you are practising an Abrahamic religion? As too being immersed in the material world, enjoying to much of it?I guess so....sorry to be so extreme but they play it all the time on the radio, and I just think that the message is garbled, moronic and demonic....as for its relationship to a Colombian folk story, sorry it wont wash, its about the elevation of sin, self preservation and a generally infantile and provincial, parochial relationship with benevolent spiritual force ie God.

Thanks Mary. Nice to see other people think like me.

But ever since I've read this bog (August 2013) and following the replies...I read the lyrics again: I think the singer is actually talking to God, not the devil!

"Cause if my heart can't stop it" That is GOD talking! Slowly, silent, with patience and love and endurance, like a drop of water on a stone.
People who are not in God's will, will feel this as a pain, a venom, tiring and would like to cover their ears. They want this to go away. They choose to worship the devil instead (end of the video) So this video is about God talking to you and still giving you a choice and you should NOT ignore it! Even if you are "evil", He still loves you (Jesus did the same, he loved outcast, They needed saving!) Bad people cannot compete with love, therefore it's disturbing to them.(and walk away or block it) But God does not give up:-) and his preachings catch fire eventually, because God has a lot of time on his side! (Rolling Stones anyone? Time is on my side)
Just my 2 pieces....(Maybe I'm wrong, just a other view then..)
Love peace God bless

Hush, don't speak
When you spit your venom, keep it shut I hate it
When you hiss and preach
About your new messiah 'cause your theories catch fire

I can't find those silver linings
I don't mean to judge
But when you read your speech, it's tiring
Enough is enough

I'm covering my ears like a kid
When your words mean nothing, I go la la la
I'm turning off the volume when you speak
Cause if my heart can't stop it, I find a way to block it
I go
La la, la la la...
La la, la la la...
I find a way to block it
I go
La la, la la la...
La la, la la la...

That's about it, yeah. Just like the current state of our Society (Sodom & Gomorrah): Rejecting God. Why is the music so nasty?
Easy: because it reflexes the repetitive stubbornness of objects not in sync with God. Not on God's side = Nasty, ugly, smelling...etc..
Our Society is covered with this superficial "Good on the outside, bad on the inside" Glue, If you look deeper, you find nasty stuff.
And by the way: The message is not good: it tells you, if you feel the burning desire to listen to God (at any point in someones live this will happen, it is bound to happen, because we are his children!),
you should just stick your fingers in your ears...
And that alone, makes this song a typical illuminati music industry "away from God" deviating propaganda earworm (catchy song)
It is trying, on a subconscious level, influence our kids to look/hear/feel away from God...
Don't do anything... (like the lazy song from Bruno Mars)
just stay asleep (Sleeping in my car - I will possess you from Roxette)
just continue having fun doing nothing and having sex (Pitbull - Timber ft. Ke$ha) This is a SICK song....it was aired today 10:30 on a Family radio station...
Hold on to your faith and don't be afraid of the Lions :-) (cfr. Book of Daniel)

Songs like that are made because they illustrate what people already do for fun. You're a prejudice bastard if you think any song that expresses your disbelief in God is satanic then you need to fix your attitude. Religion makes me mad, we wasted 1000 years of modernization for a belief that caused millions of deaths. People are constantly trying to prove that the theories we have evidence of are wrong, because they cling to knowledge in holy manuscripts. STOP. We have real, feasible evidence. Preaching about it gets you nowhere. That is a FACT. This video only expresses beliefs that I already have, and I don't worship the devil. In fact, I don't think he's real at all. I am regular guy with no history of violence of crime. Until I say I'm atheist, I am a respectable person. I'd like to be treated as such after the fact.

yes as far as I know thats right, but I don't agree with illuminati theory though I feel too many who believe in it are smoking weed all day and wallow in narcissistic self pity....this is in no way healthy. There is also allot anti Semitism in some of its proselytizers, especially on YouTube. People must take responsibility for their own station in life and not blame others, Taking responcability as adults is being responsive to God message to us. They pestered my grandpa for decades from the 40s onwards but he was very strong in his Christian faith and he thought you got somewhere through hard work! I think that people who act on satanic instinct are mostly unconscious of God and so prey to satanic imulse.,It is often not their fault,a bit like an infection, some people of faith fear doing wrong so they take precautions to prevent infection. Most of the rejecting also don't see so called believers acting in good faith, thus your comment good on the outside good on the inside bad is really true!I could be wrong perhaps the illuminati control everything? I don't know, but I totally agree with you that is way too much music aimed at kids that is NOT healthy and teaches them to be disrespectful both to their own bodies, their own feelings (selfies!!!yuk) and in turn to others...abusing anybody who has more than you(envy jealousy),disregarding teachers, parents ect..As adults we are told this is because we don't respect children? It just makes me want to be Amish!!!thanks for your reply!

solid stuff if you look at it from that point of view, but I found this more comforting: According to Ian Pons Jewell, the music video, which hints at The Wizard of Oz, is about an "aural" Bolivian legend dating to the early 20th century, which concerns a deaf boy who fled from his abusive home and found a stray dog that accompanied him since then. After living on the streets for an undefined amount of time. he discovers that he has special talent of perceiving people's troubles, which he can heal by screaming, which is said to be as loud as an earthquake and a tornado. One day, he finds an old man who is being stoned by villagers while being taunted and ridiculed. By screaming, the boy resolves the situation and revives the old man's heart (in the video, by buying him a new heart). Together, they meet a disfigured man who was abused, considered a leper by society. The disfigured man reveals that he is a prophet who was cursed by a demon (El Tio) because he didn't worship him anymore, and abandoned the society where the demon resided. El Tio is considered as the lord of the underworld, to whom mortal people offer gifts in exchange for protection, or to ease his anger.[14] The prophet said anybody who could hear the demon would fall under his control. He told them the demon could be found in desert, where there once was a town in which people worshipped the demon and he cursed them to kill themselves. Together they go to the place where the demon should reside. They arrive at a mine where the demon is supposed to be, but everybody with their hearing intact could be cursed by the demon, thus the boy had to face the demon alone and overvoice him with his scream to stop him from cursing others.

Some1 asked why he is on his knees. I think it was bree. The child is on his knees as a sign 2 say fuck you devil what ever you say you dead to me what ever I do for you it means nothing I can even bow to you but nothing you do or say can harm or hurt me so your words mean nothing.and you knw wen some1 talks shit to you you say yayaya or wateva and ignore them. But this kid is sayn lalala . People miss take stuff and all of youl see this guy doing good and 1st thing youl say its anti-christ that's bull shit to ever thinks that. It don't mean you not talented that you must say a guy is evil that's why he is sucsessfull. If you can't make a careere it don't mean some1 else can't unless they bad. You wanna know what's the main satanic thing?its people critisizing others like in this blog. Youl think and talk so much about the devil its = to worshiping him and empowering himso don't be ass's all youls life be happy for the man stop talking about thε devil turn a blind eye ignore him and with that faith nothing will happen. People like youl are the main instigaters who empower this devil. Look @ gaga every1 here must be saying she is satanic but that's all balls up. She is a german chick trying to give the world a meassage. So people before you critisize other people think if they satanic or if your talk is what is empowering the devil. As I said email me if you want more insite or help

This has been an enjoyable read for me. I was not aware of the Bolivian myth and will research it. As well, the interpretation of the song as an homage to the anti-Christ was a surprise. My original reaction to the video was that it was a version of the Wizards of Oz with an exotic twist. What I find interesting is peoples insistence that the anti-Christ is a person (ie the child of the Devil) or persons. When, in my humble opinion, we a humans do something that the Christ would not do then we are manifesting the anti-Christ. In other words, we are both the Christ and the anti-Christ and it depends on our choices, our behaviours, as to which one we choose to be more than the other. Our "redemption", for lack of a better word, is in our hands. Not some supernatural offspring of Satan and a woman, or a sheep, or a test tube, or a computer, with questions taste in men.

When i saw the video for the first time, my heart was broken for the boy. But, what kind of things was showing i got chills all over my back & goose bumps all over my body! Why older people follows a kid? Who sells bloody hearts on a street for few coins & why the hell you put in a pocket jeckt? Women crying black tears & continue working out? Walking day & night through a desert to reach empty hill with creepy statue (freeked my out!) looks like satan? The grownups leaves & the kid stays!!!
What kind of normal human being will see this with out knowing or feeling there is something wrong!
Yes, am a Muslim, Arab, Yemeni, i may not know this stuff like you guys, but it shocked something deep within me, there is something wrong woth this video, like lady gaga. The time now is 5:12 am, saw that video 2 days ago & it just botherd me so my much, there is something wrong & i must know what its, looked over the internet & read this blog & it was the most blog that made sense too me.
Btw, its my first time ever to respond to a blog or get envolve in something over the web.
What makes my wonder, why the three main relegions( Jews, Chrestiens, Muslims) that came from God are the most one's to get bashed & laughed at in every way possible, movies, comedy shows, animation, etc... & the one made up by humans/satan are looked upon with respect & admiration (buddasm, conffocies, etc)?
I wonder, if a good song like faith & be good & near to God, doesnt matter if it was by a Jaw or a Christien or Muslim, will it be a hit & spread over the world taking #1 on charts & played in every radio station??? HA ! I bet you not!
Let every one hate the Muslims, every one hate the Jaws, every one hate the Christiens & let us work on our satan plans & the anti-christ plans. That what they want to do.
Yes, we Muslims beleive that the anti-christ will appear one day & Jeasus Christ peace be upon him will be sent back to rule the world after many years of chaos cleaning up the mess that the anti-christ made on earth. According to Islam a lot of prophices & signs telling us when the anti-christ will be coming, & most of them have been fulfiled. Videos like this just telling us that there is supporters & working hard for the anti-christ arrival.
Leaving you with God's blees.
Peace be upon you.

From my understanding with looking up the meaning of this video, it's really about a Myth with a hint of Wizard of Oz.

When I heard this song, I thought nothing of Satan or God. It felt more like not listening to people that wants to hurt you or lie to you.

Even in church there are people that will lie you you, thats why one part said hiss and preach. Cause there are churchs and other group places that preach harshness and lies(though not all places)

Now with the heart. Everyone's heart crave for something that isn't good. To punch someone, to steal to do something bad, even if it's really small, so your trying to block that desire to do that.

At the end of the video as well feels like the battles everyone must face. To try to ignore evil and all it's temptation, you have to usually do that face to face. That's what I feel the child is showing.

I think your points are stupid. This video has NOTHING to do with christianism or anything concerning this religion. The story has nothing "satanic" as you say, it's about an old bolivian story. Before you publish some sort of stupid article with very bad explenations just inform yourself about the real significance of the video and not only see from just your point of vision (wrong in this case).

I think this video is about trying to block out the Illuminati's spells and New World order. Ya see how the Elephant is directing traffic and cars are stopped on a green light. That is the new world order on how they want to control our every move. Look up elephant in the room and you will see how the meaning is "trying to ignore the obvious problems or risk no one wants to discuss but knows they are there. Gym sign is a guy showing his strength at the top of a triangle..or pyramid....Sign of power. Trying to run away from the illuminati but only to be returned to the devil with horns in dark underworld. Also watch how the elephant walks..as if he is a solder or law enforcer(NWO) . Read the signs people! Yall are letting the government rule your lives...and brainwash you!

Guess I'll join in, on this party, too.

I first heard this song yesterday, in a department store. I first noticed the catchy hook, and knew that I wouldn't be able to get this song out of my head; so when I could discern a strand of the lyrics, I quickly Googled it, and downloaded the song, before I even left the store.

At first, I didn't listen too much to the lyrics, as I was just under the trance of the song's melody. After listening (on repeat) for about three or four times, I began to hear the lyrics. I couldn't tell exactly what message the song was trying to convey, but the lyrics did suggest that there was some sort of spiritual implication; be it good or bad. With this day in age, Christianity (and any God-centered religion) I feared for the worst. Without any given context, I assumed the author was speaking out against people (Christians) preaching (the Truth) at him, and doing so in a blatant and offensive manner; therefore, he's blocking their efforts by covering his ears...as he's had enough.

My next step was to Google, yet again, and see what others were saying about the meaning of this song. Most blogs confirmed that the song was sacrilegious and that it was about a man abandoning his faith; confirmed evermore so by the “controversial” music video. At this point, I hadn't seen the music video, but this blog's author had everything broken down, to a point that made sense; again I feared for the worst. I was hesitant to watch the video, as I “knew” it would confirm my fears, that the song was “bad” and I would either have to not listen to the song anymore, or feel guilty every time I listened to it; so with a sick feeling in my stomach, I decided to watch the video, so, at least, I'd know.

Surprisingly, I did not see the implications in the video, at all. In fact, the video provided context for me, that I now see the song in a COMPLETELY different light. Rather than walk through the “signs” I saw in the video, then get to the main point, I'll start with the main point, then give my input on the subtleties implied in the video. The song (for me) is about a man (represented by the boy) who is being preyed on by evil forces all-around him (by Satan) trying to break his willpower to do the right thing. He has almost given in, and it's been a major struggle for him. Then he found out, that he can combat these tempting forces by blocking them out; by “covering up (his) ears, and go la la la...cause if my heart can't stop it, I've found a way to block it, I go la la la...”

For the video, the first point, about the hotel room number being 1111, yes, this may be a spiritual connotation, or it may be the author's (Naughty Boy) favorite number; he was born on January 01 (I was born on 10/19 and 19 is my favorite number) The boy is faced with evil, which seeks to break his spirit, but he makes an escape.

In the gym, he sees the homeless man, who's watching the women dancing. The boy notices the man is dying to his lustful desires, and as the boy encourages the man to come away with him (and leave his lust behind) the man refuses...then the boy shows him how to ignore his lustful desires (the boy shows him that he blocks temptation by covering his ears) The man discovers that he can ignore it by changing the frequency of his radio, which had been tuned in to only one thing, lust; by “changing the station” the man realizes he's capable of more than just this path. He then realizes that he can leave the lust behind, so he goes with the boy. As they leave the gym, the women chase, angrily behind them, because the temptation still exists, seeking to draw the man back in. The boy then buys a heart for the old man. This can be seen as an evil parallel, or it can simply mean that the man (thus far) had only known lust, but the boy has helped him find a heart, and therefore, has now found that he's capable of love.

The “TinMan” or whatever the traffic cop, dancing in the flow of traffic, is supposed to be, shows someone caught in the flow, unable to stand their ground or think for themselves. The boy shows this man that he can block out all of this by covering his ears, and then be able to think for himself. Then the 3 of them set off on a journey.

When they get to the cave, and the boy has to venture into the darkness, by himself, he comes face to face with the idol (of Satan) but he does so, so that he can blatantly stare into the face of his tempter, and show him (Satan) that he will not fall victim to temptation, because he's learned that he can cover his ears, and block out the temptation, no matter what is thrown his way.

For me, this song is shows that everyone is human, everyone is tempted, and everyone has their breaking points...and Satan knows them all too well. To say that being a Christian means that you are never tempted, is ridiculous. We all have to do what works for us, to resist temptation, and liv

I am deeply shocked at all the negative comments posted on this blog. It is someone's opinion, and people have turned it into a discussion to bash gay people ( which these people happened to be Christian), say that other religions are associated with the devil ( which not even Christianity or Catholic can hide from him ... like at some of our preachers' behavior), and are basically saying that someone is wrong for having their way of interpreting certain things. We are becoming an ignorant and conforming society.... Illuminati doesn't have to tear us down because they have programmed us to do it ourselves.

A few more things you forgot to mention that proves your interpretation is correct, 1. The man you say is the devil is wearing red, 2. Venom and hiss in the first part of thesong obviously means snake/serpent which also represents the devil, 3. When they are staring at the fire represents them staring at the gates of hell and the looks on their faces shows they are afraid to enter.

Wow, just wow. i might say you're correct in a horrid way. Maybe just maybe, you're into demons than angels according to what you wrote. judging from how you viewed the video, you came up with devilish perspectives than good ones. don't you think? also, before you write an interpretation, look up the status of the author/creator of the piece before you judge the piece, create arguments until you're satisfied and lastly polish your work. easy right? i myself study demons more than anything else but, i take great risks in doing so. and carelessness might get you off the wrong track. its pretty scary going beyond the boundaries of understanding things, but if you know your limits and what you are doing, then All Is Well. :3

According to Ian Pons Jewell, the music video, which hints at The Wizard of Oz, is about an "aural" Bolivian legend dating to the early 20th century, which concerns a deaf boy who fled from his abusive home and found a stray dog that accompanied him since then. After living on the streets for an undefined amount of time he discovers that he has special talent of perceiving people's troubles, which he can heal by screaming, which is said to be as loud as an earthquake and a tornado. One day, he finds an old man who is being stoned by veo, by buying him a new heart. They arrive at a mine where the demon is supposed to be, but everybody with their hearing intact could be cursed by the demon, thus the boy had to face the demon alone and out-voice him with his scream to stop him from cursing others.
The video ends with an open end, considering that El Tio is the lord of the underworld who rules in the mines, which were of use for people for a prolonged period of time, whom miners sacrifice a llama from time to time to avoid from being cursed, the boy could be seen as a big sacrifice to redeem the miners from El Tio's undesirable influence.

As I was Baptized Lutheran and raised as a Catholic through my school life I can see your point but chill out! Take into consideration of the 20th Century Bolivian folk tale of El Tio and a young deaf boy abused by his parents who befriends a dog and can perceive others troubles and sacrifices himself to the demon to save others from his wrath. Sound familiar? Look more into world religion please!!! Plus I'm a vet tech, I care for all of god's creatures that are unable to speak, thank you. Also all that God creates is good so why are canines demonized?

I do believe we are in a bad sate right now as far as religion goes and it's sad but don't judge other culture's beliefs. Bolivians are mainly catholic. It has been noted that similar beliefs to ours have been held all over the world for centuries regardless of religion and the proves we are actually one. Who really wants negativity and demons in their life? Accept all people and pray regardless. We are all God's creations :)

Notice if you will the two letters on the hat of the lead female dancer. Look carefully (AC). Think carefully, perhaps it was just a hat laying around or how about it was carefully chosen to illustrate a very important point. Also notice how she glances up in the direction of the letters on her hat, almost forcing us to pay closer attention to what it's trying to tell us. It is time for everyone to sit up and pay closer attention to the world around them. If you guys thought things were nuts then, things are about to really get crazy.

I don't think this video/or its underlying meaning is satanic! It is a reference to the Wiz of Oz and the boy is the victim of an abusive father. In the end, he is either succumbing to the fears or facing them. El Diablo de la mina is the 'satanic' puppet that is seen in the end and it seems to me that the boy is standing up to this by 'covering his ears' and not letting the words hurt him.

First post person: Did you happen to listen to the lyrics? They actually do make sense if you take the time to listen to them and not just suppose that this is representative of the antichrist.

This...this is just so wrong. I'm a little sad for you actually. Way to not let yourself enjoy a great song with a meaningful video. Some Christians need to get their heads out of their asses (coming from another Christian). Not everything is evil.
